The WristWidget was invented by Wendy Medeiros, OTR, CHT (retired my CHT in 2015) in 2006. Since then, the WristWidget has touched over 500,000 wrists globally. Wendy's 23 years as an Occupational Therapist treating hands gives her great insight into this injury.
Who is wearing WristWidget?
The WristWidget® is designed to treat your ulnar sided wrist pain due to your TFCC tear. It has been researched and now used on over 400,000 patients and 132 countries world-wide.
The WristWidget takes over for the TFCC and prevents the radius and ulna from spreading; allowing the TFCC to heal without surgery.
The velcro closure mechanism does not interfere with wrist motion or weaken with use. It holds the wrist securely in place without irritation to the skin or wrist joint. It is made from non elastic material which molds comfortably around the wrist. Dual straps provide an individualized fit as wrists vary greatly in size and conformation. There is no compression to the ulna head, a key component to comfortable use.
