Darcey Minton
Junior Cyclist
A 15-year-old cyclist, Darcey has been in the sport for almost two years now. Before discovering her passion for cycling, Darcey spent eight years as a competitive swimmer. Her passion for cycling really took off through triathlons, where she found a new challenge and excitement. With dreams of becoming a pro cyclist, Darcey works towards that goal every day with a tough training regiment and fuelling routine.
Starting as a community rider, riding with Women Moving Forward by Team ADQ and working her way up the ranks of racing, Darcey started with Cadet races for the 2023-2024 season - but the next step forward was entering in Women's races to test and challenge herself in a new environment. Darcey is currently the youngest member of the Airwerks Racing Team.
This 2024-2025 season, Darcey has achieved 23+ podium positions in various different races across the UAE. A highlight being winning 1st place in L'etape Dubai 50km race and taking home the climbers jersey, the best young rider jersey (under 26), and overall female winner yellow jersey.
